Free-of-charge Information Appointment

Begin by making an initial appointment to learn about what the USICS requires, what is needed, our processes, procedures, and prices. For your appointment, the only documents you must have ready are your government-issued ID card.

If you have a vaccination record, insurance card, and USCIS Letter- Request for Evidence Form I-693, please bring them. If you don’t have a record of vaccinations, insurance, or a request letter from the USCIS, there’s no need to worry. We can still assist you in starting the process, so please schedule your first information appointment, and we’ll guide you through it in our office in person, via a video visit, or over the phone – it’s FREE.

In your initial appointment, we will explain the USCIS Medical Exam process, the Vaccination requirements, Lab Tests, and our prices. Remember, all you need to begin are your government-issued ID card. If you have the other documents mentioned above, please bring them.

If you have no insurance, don’t worry; we have special pricing for the lab work — $395 or less!

If you have insurance, your insurance will pay for your lab tests, and we will direct you to the lab with instructions.

Lab Tests

IMEC coordinates the Lab Tests required for the I-693 Medical Exam, saving you time and money. Those without insurance are eligible for a discount. The Civil Surgeon will order the USCIS-required Lab Tests and direct you to a local laboratory to have the test performed by appointment or on a walk-in basis.

Do you have a lab requisition created by an outside Civil Surgeon?
You may still qualify for the same discounted price as the applicants who started with IMEC.

Vaccinations

IMEC offers the standard Vaccinations that USCIS requires for the Immigration Medical Exam at prices lower than the local pharmacies. You can receive as many vaccines as needed in a given day. Applicants already working with other Civil Surgeons or Primary Care Doctors can still take advantage of our discounted prices.

Pregnant women are safe to have Flu and Tdap vaccines. Indeed, the CDC encourages it for the safety of the mother and child. However, for MMR, and Varicella vaccines, the applicant may require a waiver. The USCIS allows waivers for vaccination under some circumstances. If you are pregnant, talk to your doctor and our Civil Surgeon.

N-648, Medical Certification for Disability Exemptions

IMEC performs the N-648 exam and prepares this form for applicants eligible for this exception. The exception is granted if the applicant cannot learn and demonstrate knowledge of English and U.S. history and civics because of a physical or developmental disability or mental impairment (or a combination of impairments). Examples of who might quality for this exemption include those who experience mental decline due to stroke, Alzheimer’s Disease, or other physical illnesses. Often, applicants are advised by their attorney to seek the N-648 waiver.
